Katris is a system of corrugated cardboard shapes that you can arrange in endless configurations. Remember the computer game Tetris? You get the idea. We reviewed the entire system a little while back, and gave it two thumbs and four paws up.

The pieces are hand assembled from 100% recyclable cardboard, using 90% post consumer recycled content. They use only non-toxic starch-based adhesives and no inks or dyes. Each piece is nice and sturdy, and as long as you start out with a solid base, you can build it pretty high. The individual pieces are super sturdy on their own and make great scratchers.

  1. I have 50+ rescue cats.. mine were deemed ‘not adoptable’ for behavioral issues and/or health issues. Providing this emotionally enriching furniture would be a great addition to their cattery!

  2. I’d love an entire collection of these for my three cats. Our youngest cat, Arata, would probably get the most use out of them. He loves boxes and little spaces.

  3. My other post didn’t show up, so trying it again….Thank you, Allegra and Ruby! We cookie cats, Nilla & Macaroon, really do LOVE cardboard scratchers and our Mom knows the importance of having vertical challenges for us. Hope we get LUCKY and win one of the blocks and then she’ll buy us more sections to assemble!!

  5. My 1.5 year old cat, Shelby, is such a curious kitty. These would be perfect for her to explore while we are away at work for the day! She would love them!!

  6. I have 2 indoor cats who are driving me bonkers scratching on everything in site and tearing wallpaper and climbing the blinds. Aughhh! The units look like they’d be great to mount on a wall.

  7. This looks like one of the best products! It’s looks so stylist and study,my 3 little cats would absolutely love this!

  8. Right now the only scratching post my cats have is the one on their cat tower. Adding an additional scratcher in another part of the house would be so helpful. I know my babies would enjoy it.

  9. Right now, I don’t have any scratching posts for my two boys to use. I SO desperately need one of these! I have a wood frame bed, and they’re using the bottom part of the bed to scratch on. It looks terrible! All the finish is scratched off! I hope I’m lucky enough to be chosen to win one of these.
