I keep our litter boxes scrupulously clean. I pretty much scoop as soon as Allegra or Ruby deposit something in one of our two boxes (especially if it’s in the one right outside my office). And you better believe I make sure I do a good job, because Allegra, our official box supervisor, always follows behind and makes sure I’ve done it right.

I’m a firm believer that if there’s something you have to do every day, multiple times a day, you should have the best possible tool to do it with to make it easy on yourself. When it comes to litter scoops, I have yet to find a better product than Litter Lifter™. This cleverly designed scoop gets the job done quickly and easily. The scoops are sturdy enough to scrape free even urine that attaches to the bottom or sides of the box without a whole lot of effort. You don’t have to shake the scoop to get rid of clean litter, it just drops through the specially angled blades, and even very small litter clumps stay in the scoop.

The Litter Lifter™ comes in three sizes and 14 colors. I use the smallest size, sold as the Travel model, because I find it easiest to maneuver in the corners of the box, but I think the larger ones would probably make clean up even faster if I could get used to them, and they would probably be a better choice if you have a lot of boxes to scoop.

If you haven’t tried the Litter Lifter, you don’t know what you’re missing. It really is a magic scoop!

90 Comments on Giveaway: Win Litter Lifter Litter Scoops for Your Cats and Your Favorite Shelter

  1. I have 5 cats that share 4 very large litter boxes, and scooping is the worst – I hate shaking only to have the clump break apart and scatter through the scoop. Would love to give one of these a try – my favorite shelter is the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, Massachusetts!

  2. I have the original Litter Lifter and it is great! I would love to have the travel size to make cleaning the corners of the smaller litter box easier. I would probably give the others to some of my cat owning friends. I would like to donate to the Des Moines County Humane Society in Burlington, IA.

  3. I would love to try these scoops and also have some donated to:

    Little Shelter
    33 Warner Road
    Huntington, NY 11743

Zoe’s temporary home when she was a tiny kitten.

  4. I keep 7 litter boxes for my 3 furbabies. So some user friendly scoops would be awesome! I would share with C.A.R.E. Shelter, here in Springfield, Missouri. Thanks for the opportunity!

  5. I have two litterboxes for my rescue kitty, ZuZu. We also do alot of traveling , so having a travel sciop would come in handy. I adopted my cat through “Embracing All Creatures” out of White Plains, NY. If not for them, my beautiful persian would have been euthanized. They monitor animal shelters and take animals that are slated to be killed & give them a second chance.

  6. These sound great — just what we need. We scoop up fast too. When Oscar got over being ill with his blockage I taught him to let me know when he is going to use the litter & learned from that to keep a close eye!

It is hard to choose just one great rescue group but for this I’ll go with the great Anjellicle Cats Rescue, P.O. Box 2084, Radio City Station, NY, NY 10101-2084.

  7. I would love to have one of these, preferably purple if possible. 🙂 I only have one cat but she tends to leave deposits in the corners of her box. I have the darnedest time scooping those corners and then cleaning off the scoop. Tori would appreciate not having to listen to her mommy cussing when cleaning her box. My favorite shelter is the Humane Society of Greater Dayton.

  8. These are so cool, and practical for my multi-cat home. They would be a great addition to all my kitty maintenance tools.
My choice for favorite rescue group, and there are so many good ones in my area, is Heart Animal Rescue, Hamburg, NY

  9. Thank you, Ingrid, for this giveaway. I am also a “firm believer that if there’s something you have to do every day, multiple times a day, you should have the best possible tool to do it with to make it easy on yourself.” I would love to be able to gift my local Santa Fe Animal Shelter with such beautiful pooper scoopers!!!

  10. Wonderful giveaway! I would love to win this liter scoop since the one I am using now is many years old and a bit worn. My favorite non-profit in my neighbor is S.A.F.E. in St. Augustine Florida. They save animals from kill shelters and give them a chance.

  11. I love these scoops and my husband I use two different scoops at home based on our personal preference for our two cat litter box and it would be great to use this one which I’m sure we’ll agree is the best! I volunteer a few hours every week at the Ellen M. Gifford Cat shelter in Brighton, MA and they would love these too!!!

  12. I have yet to find a litter scooper that I really like, and that gets the job done well and quickly. These sound FANTASTIC! I would LOVE a set of these! I have 2 cats who are pee & poop monsters, so I am constantly cleaning the two litter boxes. These would be a fantastic addition. My favorite shelter is the Cat Protection Society in Eustis, Florida. They are a non profit no kill shelter for cats only.

  14. I foster for a group called Last Hope. We are a foster only group and could use all the items we can get to help our cats and dogs. 15. I would love to win these scoops for all my kitty fosters.. I TNR and foster all the kittens from the property I am trapping on. As you know babies, eat, poop and sleep.. and I can use a great scooper. Some of my rescues are as young as 4 wks and going from mom’s nursing to eating solids can get a bit messy!! I volunteer with a wonderful organization by the name of Animal Rescue Force in East Brunswick NJ. I am going to spread the word about these scoops.. Where have they been all of my fostering days and many cats ago!!!

  16. These are fabulous. I learned about them from your blog. They pick up all those smaller pieces that usually fall through the cracks of other litter scoopers. We have four litter boxes for four rescue cats, and always need more scoops!
My favorite rescue, the one that helped us with our rescued cats, is C.A.T.S. in Medford, Oregon.

  17. I have 3 cats of my own and volunteer at Lucky’s Place a NO-KILL shelter . We are always busy scooping and these scoops work so well. They would make out job easier and leave more time for playtime with the cats and kittens at the shelter.

  18. I had one of these scoops. It finally broke after a few years use and I have not seen one at any of the pet stores I have visited. It is the best scoop ever and I would love to have another. The rest will go to our county’s first no-kill shelter – Morgan County, Alabama.

  19. These are the scoops that I use, and I need some new ones. Several of mine are old and have cracks in the corners. I do have 12 litter boxes for my kitty crew.

  20. I have 4 kitties, with one who will poop on the floor next to the box if it isn’t completely clean! My favorite shelter is Cat House on the Kings. Thanks!

  22. I’ve never tried a Litter Lifter but I would love to! Truffles actually yells when she’s finished with her business so that I’ll know it needs to be cleaned up LOL She’s a very fastidious little lady. I would love to donate to the Franklin County Humane Society in St Albans, Vermont, where I adopted both Tara and Truffles from.

  23. I love the Litter Lifter! I saw it on your blog in the past, Ingrid, and purchased for myself. Even the hubby noticed how easy the litter flows through. I recommend it to all my friends, and am thinking about adding one to a basket for friends/family who get a new cat.

  24. Between a torn meniscus and spinal stenosis scooping litter is a bit painful, but a task I take very seriously. And … I hate the little bits that are left behind. This scoop sounds perfect … better job in less time bent over in pain!

I would like to also win these for Monmouth County SPCA, Wall St., W. Long Branch, NJ 07764. A fabulous, no-kill shelter whom I have adopted from and donated to in the past.

Am sharing on facebook and Pinterest.

    Love your blog!

  25. These Litter Lifters are “the” best. Period. I was blessed to stumble onto one, and wonder that every cat owner doesn’t know about them. I would love the opportunity to win some for the Bangor Humane Society in Bangor, Maine.

    Many thanks,

  26. My favorite shelter is Lucky’s Place in Sauk Rapids, MN – no kill – no exceptions – everyone is welcome, even if they become long term residents.

I already have the travel and the original of this scoop and LOVE them!

  27. My two cats would really appreciate this. My favorite shelter is Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue — which right now has 143 cats.

  28. I have six cats 4 Sphynx who have particularly stinky, so lots of scooping. I also do Sphynx rescue, so sometimes have a few more. I have been looking for this scoop ever since I read about it on The Conscious Cat, but cannot find them in Saskatchewan, Canada. I would really love to have this scoop and make scooping just a bit less easier. My favorite rescue is SCAT aka street Cat Rescue in Saskatoon.

  29. I’d like to win these scoops because a different scoop at each box is always very handy!
Also, it’s always a good idea to have a clean, extra scoop around if needed for cat that may be ill.
My favorite rescue is Kitten Associates in CT

  30. We need to win the scooper for our mom because she fell & broke her shoulder. There are a lot of us, we’re a big family but now, it’s hard for our mom because of her shoulder. Please choose us!

  31. I just adopted two beautiful cats and I’m so in love! Of course, I clean their litterbox as soon as I see they have left something! A scoop that gets the job done quickly and easily would be absolutely wonderful! My favorite rescue is Mary’s Kitty Korner in Granby, CT. Thank you!! <3

  32. The right tool for the job? Yes, I’m interested! And my shelter is Standish Humane Society in Duxbury, MA. Thanks for the give-away opportunity 🙂

  33. I have only 4 cats now ( having lost my 2 Torties – Tabatha and Stirfry ) last week, I still have 4 and 2 spend a lot of time in the litterbox. Everyday scooping take up a lot of time. Maybe this will help.

  34. Dear Ingrid, Ruby and Allegra:
I would love to win the scoop assortment as I run an animal shelter, Alcona Humane Society, in Northern Michigan. With approximately 65 kitties we scoop all day long and are always trying to find better scoops. We also have many “helpers” at scooping times.

In addition, I have ten (10) kitties at home (permanent and fosters), as do my parents. “Hazard” of the job!.

I very much enjoy your articles. I have already reordered the litter box Microbes. Thanks for the information.

  35. I need these because Minnie is quite the “box supervisor” herself – not to mention she has that shelter-cat habit of curling up on the clean litter to take a nap sometimes! So, it has to be clean. Super clean!

My favorite rescue is Pooses and Pups in Venice, California, which brought Minnie and me together.
