Perhaps the fact that there are more and more cat cafes opening in various countries around the world is part of their strategy? I was delighted to see a report on CNN.com earlier this week that features nine cat cafes from Paris, London, Munich, Berlin, Budapest, Vienna, Madrid, Melbourne, and Dubai. Later this year, Kit Tea in San Francisco and Purrington’s Cat Lounge in Oregon are hoping to open their doors. There are also efforts under way to bring a cat cafe to Los Angeles. Read the full story on CNN.com.

If you missed any of the stories featured on The Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we shared holistic treatments for FIV positive cats, on Tuesday, Allegra and Ruby reviewed the original Cat Ball, on Wednesday, we tried to answer the question of why cats groom each other, on Thursday, we explained the importance of high moisture content in a cat’s diet, and on Friday, we provided some suggestions for your summer reading list.

I love the kitty in today’s video! He sure has a very unique way of drinking water.

I think I’ll suggest a cat cafe to one of our local cafes….Can’t hurt to ask, right?

Anything that helps cats find new homes is great and more will realize how great cats are.
