Mews and Nips: Back from Global Pet Expo Edition

I spent the last four days in warm and sunny Orlando, FL, at the Global Pet Expo. This is the largest trade show of pet products anywhere in the world. There were close to 1,000 exhibitors in almost 3,000 booth in the Orange County Convention Center. It seemed like the whole show covered at least the size of two football fields, and I walked dozens of miles over the last few days! In the coming weeks, I’ll be bringing you lots of cool information about the products I saw there, including my choice of best new cat product. Today, I need a little time to recover, which is why this Mews and Nips edition is a little shorter than normal.

If you missed If If you missed any of the stories featured on The Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we debunked the myth that pregnant women should give up their cats, on Tuesday, we explored when it might be time to find a new vet , on Wednesday, Clea Simon’s fictional kitten Esme complained about getting no respect, on Thursday, we provided information on how to live with cat allergies, and on Friday, we introduced you to five cat artists that bear watching this year.

Today’s video of a kitten snuggling up to his dog pal is titled “The Most Cutest Kitten in the World.” I don’t know about “most cutest” – I think most of us would claim that title for our own cats – but he sure is adorable!

Have a great weekend!

Thank you for debunking the myth about Pregnant Women and Cats. Female Veterinarians who are pregnant do NOT give up their practice and they do NOT give up their feline pets.
