Every month, Jackson Galaxy designates a rescue group or shelter as his Shelter of the Month. I’m delighted to announce that Fancy Cats Rescue Team, based in Herndon, VA, is his Shelter of the Month for November.
I’ve supported Fancy Cats Rescue team at a number of fundraisers for the past couple of years. This wonderful organization was founded in 1997, and has evolved into one of the largest rescue groups in northern Virginia. Fancy Cats Rescue Team has placed more than 18,000 cats in permanent homes since its inception! A team of over 100 volunteers assists with anything from showing cats to potential adopters at three Northern Virginia Petsmart locations, to fostering, to helping with fundraising and administrative work.

Pablo is only one of the many cats you will be helping if you support Fancy Cats Rescue team.
Pablo is a senior kitty who is a survivor. He contracted a viral infection which spread to his eyes. Eventually, he need surgery on both eyes, and also required a feeding tube for quite some time. His caring foster mom, with the help of his veterinarian, nursed him through several surgeries. Even though his vision won’t be perfect, he is able to see. He is a very special cat who brings peace and joy to all who meet him, be they human or feline. Paolo still has some healing to do, but in the process, he seems to be healing everyone who comes into contact with him. For more information about this very special, cat, take a look at his Petfinder profile.
