DERMagic Logo-Cat

Cats are fastidious groomers, and can usually take care of keeping themselves clean without human intervention. Their sandpaper tongue is perfectly equipped to take care of their cleaning and grooming needs. But every once in a while, you may find yourself in a situation where your cat needs a bath: perhaps she got into something sticky, dirty or smelly, or worse, into something that would harm her if she licked herself clean.

If you have to bathe your cats, make sure you use shampoos and other grooming products made for cats. Human products are much too harsh for sensitive feline skins.

DERMagic Skin Care for Animals features all-natural and organic grooming products. The brand new Rosemary Feline Shampoo Bar is a gentle, deep cleansing, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial formulation that is said to reduce flakiness and to generate healthy, soft skin and fur. DERMagic’s Feline Skin Rescue Lotion is designed to reduce itching caused by hot spots, flea allergies, dermatitis, and dry skin conditions.

If your cat has a skin condition, she requires a veterinary exam. Always check with your veterinarian before using these, or any other over the counter products, on your cat.

33 Comments on Giveaway: DERMagic Shampoo and Lotion

  1. Regardless of what anyone says, Leonardo needs a bath every couple of months or so. He has long fur and only an intermittent understanding of grooming. We blame poor early parenting skills on the part of his poor overwhelmed mother. Anyway, he puts up with it and doesn’t even complain much. This might be better for him. I’ve been using baby shampoo.

  2. I could definitely use this on my 3 kitties! All three of them have grown “okay” with bathing. One cat in particular could REALLY use this, Mickey. I did the whole food trial test and medicine trials because he was itching, pulling out hair, and bleeding. I moved on and have been to an Animal Allergist and Dermatologist/Specialist Vet. He was tested. He is allergic to lots of things: grasses, molds, trees, dust mites, fleas, and the saddest one, cotton!
My female cat has seasonal allergies also, but not to the extent that Mickey does. She just licks off some hair at certain times of the year. These products would be a welcome addition to our home!

  3. I would love to try this on Diva and see if it might help with her hair matting all the time. I know it hurts when I have to work the mats out, it’s impossible to do without pulling.

  4. I would love to win this for Jynxx because he recently started pulling his fur out from what the vet thinks were caused by skin allergies.

  5. My kitty went through a frightening health problem a couple years ago. During that time she had several tests which “required” shaving her belly (why are they so cavalier about shaving such a big area?). Ever since then she has licked the area so much that the hair has still not grown back and the bare area now also includes her inner thighs. It seems like we have tried everything but she is still obviously itchy and uncomfortable. This is the first I’ve heard of DERMagic and would love to give it a try to get her some relief. Thank you for the opportunity.

  6. My cat loves to go on walks outside, but also loves to roll around in dirt/mud/anything that will make him dirty and smell like the outdoors. Most of the time we can just brush it off, but sometimes he needs some help. Having cat-appropriate shampoo that won’t (or shouldn’t) cause any problems would be awesome 🙂

  7. I’m was going to attempt to give Luumi her first bath – but would have used my regular moisturing shampoo. I never knew I even needed your product until now! Would love to be a winner.

  8. I have two cats that, for some reason, do not groom themselves well. As a result, both of them are prone to itchiness and, well, crappy fur. Bathing them is far from a glorious adventure, and as you all know, bathing a cat can prove to be rather hazardous for a human (although the little ones do start to purr when ensconced in a towel being dried off, and that most certainly does make it all worthwhile…despite the battle wounds I inevitably sustain.)

I would love to have a shampoo that is not only cat safe, but one that can help to correct their dry skin and patchy fur.

  9. My 2 rescued white persians are very old now. At the ends of their journeys 🙁 They are having issues with bathing and poopy issues. This shampoo and lotion sound like it would be so soothing on their skin and fur 🙂 Good luck to my Precious and Yoda 🙂

  10. I have 11 cats and 2 dogs so pet fur is a condiment at my house. I have considered bathing the cats periodically to cut down on shedding, but I have not done that as yet. I have bathed cats several times for one reason or another but not on a regular basis. DERMagic sounds like a good shampoo that would be nice to try with my crew, and I would love to win the give a way. I am retired and spend most of my time at home with my animals.

  11. Well I have 8 cats but I’m pretty sure none of them would submit to a bath. However I have a cute little dog who has skin issues and perhaps I could use this on her?

  12. Sockie renamed to the “Cat death forgot” could really use this! She was rescued 17-18 years ago when the guys at lunch heard the kitten screams. They all knew I loved animals and took in the 6 kitten’s hand feeding them all. She was born with a heart murmur with a life expectancy of 2 years. She lived an active life catching mice and greeting the school bus. Later she became an indoor cat cuddling with her brother, the two were inseparable. Now she sleeps alone, no longer able to groom herself. When she was healthy she was the queen of clean and still gets highly insulted she cannot groom herself. She weighs about 3 pounds now, but every day there she is looking for food and a good cuddle. Chasing feathers is a thing of the past, but a nice sleep on mom completes life.
She could really use something that will help restore her coat and remove all the dander. She had such pride in her coat years ago that it would be nice to keep that going until her time comes.

  13. Our neighbor has a sweet cat w/ a terrible flea allergy. The Revolution we give her monthly burns her skin so the Skin Rescue Lotion sounds like a nice option for that and also the spots she still scratches too hard. Thank you for bringing this product to my attention and for the giveaway.

  14. i would love to win this to try it out on my two cats <3 i've never really been able to bathe them and would love to wash them up once in a while.

  15. I shared on facebook. I am friends with a lot of animal lovers and also some friends who work for rescue organizations!

  16. This is a great give away. I would love to win. Having 3 cats there is no telling if the time would come that I would need to bathe them. I have one, my Cisco, who gets into everything. He is the nosey one of the bunch, lol. Thank you so much for offering this!

  17. I would like this for foster kittens. It always seem like they wear more food than they ingest and bathing them is not fun!

  18. We never dreamed we’d ever give a cat a bath, what with all the visual examples of how much they DON’T like it. But when our Jack became unable to clean himself at the end of his days (due to stomach cancer and it’s effects on his organs), we found ourselves doing it. Not only did we do it but Jack appreciated it. We knew little of soaps for cats and scrambled to find something. Wed love to have this soap on hand.
