The World Is Your Litter Box Deluxe Edition: A How To Manual for Cats by Quasi (with minor help from Steve Fisher) is a cat classic reissued. Quasi is back with more wit and wisdom in this expanded version of The World is Your Litter Box on topics such as ways to annoy your human just for fun, what to do if your human puts you on a diet, and how to make sure your human keeps your litter box clean.

Quasi understands that humans, no matter how crazy they may be about cats (refer to the chapter on How to Tell if Your Human Is a True Cat Nut!), need a lot of guidance on how to truly appreciate, take care, and serve the needs of the cats who shares their lives.  And who better to enlighten them then Quasi.  This book will have you look at your own feline companions with greater understanding (and perhaps, a bit of trepidation, as you wonder what they’re cooking up behind those innocent looks they’re giving you…).  From sharing 20 reasons why cats are smarter than humans to words and phrases that are not in a cat’s vocabulary (knowing these will save humans much time and frustration!), this book is not only the perfect gift for first time cat parents, but will  have veteran cat lovers laugh out loud as they recognize their own feline companions in some of the pages.

Quasi, and his human, Steve, have generously offered up one pawtographed copy of this book for one lucky reader.

Quasi is a charming and intelligent 18-pound cat, white with baby blue eyes. Part Siamese, he has an extensive vocabulary and is not shy about using it to get what he wants. Although he admits to being slightly rotund, he will resoundingly hiss at anyone who calls him “fat.” Like all cats, Quasi possesses the wisdom of the ages and an overabundance of kitty cuteness. He lives in Burbank, California with his human, Steve, Steve’s female, Judy, and his recently arrived kitty compadres Bo Diddley and Piglet.

Steve Fisher, Quasi’s Co-Author and Typist,  grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Southern California in 1980. At various points, he was a musician, a radio disc jockey and a record producer before finding his true path as a writer.  In addition to helping Quasi with The World Is Your Litter Box and The World Is STILL Your Litter Box, Steve has written approximately 50 short stories and one yet-to-be-published novel. He “works” long hours at his computer and (according to Quasi) does not appear to have a real job. A confirmed cat nut, Steve lives in Burbank, California with his wife, Judy, and of course, Quasi, Bo Diddley and Piglet.

You can learn more about Quasi, Steve and their books on their website and their blog.

35 Comments on Review and Giveaway: The World Is Your Litter Box Deluxe Edition

  1. I have 5 cats of my own, plus 3 nine week old tabby kittens I bottle raised. Then there is my adult foster too. I need to know as much as I can about cat behavior, for my own household and for others who adopt my babies. They are constantly teaching me something new, but I would love to have advice from the expert!

  2. Any inside help would be greatly appreciated by my 5 kitties. They’re trying to train me but at times it seems very slow on the learning curve.

  3. Having had cats all my life I have failed to acquired the intellectual knowledge into the secret language of cat-speak. My six cats have tried in vain to teach me but I feel I am a miserable human student.
Maybe this book is my salvation to becoming top-cat in my class. I would be indebted to you and Qusai if I could finally become the cat guardian I was meant to be to my feline companions.

  4. I love reading funny books about cats, especially ones from the cats purr-spective. I think Quasi will help me gain lots more insight into my own 3 feline babies. Plus the world can be quite depressing and everyone needs a little pick me up. I would love to win this book and the fact that Quasi autographed it makes it all the more special. (also I too like my kitties just a little rotund…shhhh)

  5. Sounds like a great book for my fuzzy family, oftentimes when I read in bed one of the “kids” will read along with me, occasionally nodding off or doing a little belly kneading. I’m sure they’d love to see me reading more feline material as well. 🙂

  6. I Love books about animals and nature.
I’m all for self education and the more I read and research the better a four legged parent I become.
I bookmarked your website for future reference.

  7. We recently lost 2 of our fur people. One of our 2 rescue cats, (both are black,)Bixby has a serious cardio-myopathy and asthma along with all the same environmental allergies that we have. Bixby thinks we need this book to learn more. Brianna, our beautiful little girl is healthy, but she wants the book to help us keep her that way.

We have shared this on Facebook.

  8. This would be an awesome book to read and all cat parents will surely see their own fur baby in it.

  9. Sounsd like a great book. You can never get enough cat information. And with all of the great cat books, why bother reading anything else.

  10. This book sounds like a very creative, entertaining read! I love to read, anyway, and I’m definitely a cat person, to it would be perfect for me! Thank you for the giveaway!

  11. This book sounds like a great read. I’m sure I would recognize my three in it. They have me trained pretty well, but I”m sure I could learn something new.

  12. Quasi sounds a lot like Kit Carson, my blue-eyed, very talkative and opinionated, part Siamese! I think I really need this book!!

  13. This sounds like a delightful book. My own cats think I don’t get them sometimes, so maybe it would help!
BTW, is the autograph by Quasi!

  14. My kitties say they want this book because their human has lots of these so called “how to” books and they want to see what this hype is about. They think they know everything about being a cat, but think Quasi might have some tips to fine tune their abilities! 🙂

  15. Well, after a terrible day of losing two of my long time four legged clients, and shedding many a tear, I ran across this ad to win your book. It sounds amusing, and I sure could use that. I work with cats for a living….I pet sit professionally and have a little over 2000 active kitties on file with my company. I have been doing it for a little over 10 years. I have amassed quite a collection of books about cats, from veterinary to humorous. It sounds like just the type of book I need in my collection, and to read and to give me a cheer. And to top it off having Quasi’s pawtograph would be a true honor. Fingers, paws and tails crossed….(Einstein jumps up and down and screams picks me, (in cat lingo of course). 🙂
