Giveaway: Handmade Ceramic Cat Fountain from Thirsty Cat Fountains

Fountains are a great way to encourage cats to drink more water. Water is critical to keeping your cat healthy. While cats get moisture from a raw or canned diet, they should still have plenty of fresh water available at all times. Cats as a species don’t have a high thirst drive, and this can lead to chronic low-level dehydration if a cat is fed mostly dry food, which in turn, can lead to urinary tract and kidney problems.

With Thirsty Cat Fountains, you’re not only adding to the health of your cat, you’re also adding a piece of art to the decor of your home. These gorgeous, one-of-a-kind fountains are handcrafted in the US. They are made with food-safe glazes (Thirsty Cats Fountains makes their own glazes, so they know exactly what goes into them) and durable pumps.

The fountains were inspired by company owners Keith Davitt and Jackie McKannay’s cat Bijou. When they placed the first fountains they designed around the house, they found that Bijou drank from them far more than he did from his water bowl. Bijou now serves as chief product tester and critic.

This is a beautiful fountain and I know my cats would love it and drink more water if they had one. Chico prefers to drink from the sink and I would love to have this fountain for him.

My Cleopatra would love this as the vet wants her to drink more liquids for her postsytemic shunt with liver disease and does not know the sweetheart is even sick, she is a happy loving little girl and I love her so much my fur baby… would be good for her sibling too (her Sister Tabitha). Thank you for entering her.

I found my cat Jack 5 years ago when he was dumped in a parking lot in the middle of the night. He has been my best friend ever since. Last year he got really sick, and we found out he had kidney stones. The surgery & vet bills were very expensive, and I’m still paying them off. I still have a difficult time getting him to drink enough water, and I’m worried he might get more kidney stones. This fountain would be perfect to get him to the water dish more often. 🙂

We have 7 kitties but the “baby”, Omega, loves running water and likes to drink from open faucets. I think that he would LOVE this fountain!

Honey is a ginger trips female that loves fountains and Teddy is a one eyed (still has both just blind in one) rescue. I shared this on both pages and my kitties would love one of these fountains.

Would love this for my cat- He is a 13 yr old who requires prescription cat food for crystalluris. The food is a diuretic so he must drink a lot of water to flush his system. He was diagnosed at 7yrs old but is doing great as long as we keep him on this food. The ceramic fountain is so much prettier than the white plastic thing he has now!!!! Pls pick us!! 🙂
    Thank you!

I also posted this link on facebook to promote the contest and your wonderful fountains. They are the prettiest water fountains for cats I have ever seen. I would definitely have one of these in my home. I have three cats that love to play with the water coming out of the faucet. I hope I win but if I don’t I will buy one. thanks Kathryn mosher

I believe this is the most awesome looking cat drinking fountain I have ever seen. Not only would it help my cats increase their water intake but it would be an addition of an artistic fountain to our home. I just love all of these fountains and can’t wait to see if I become the lucky winner. I would love it and my three cats would love it. Thank you for having this contest and even if I dont become the lucky winner I will definetly become a customer. Take care. Kathryn Mosher
