Mews and Nips: Grumpy Cat Lands Movie Deal

It was probably inevitable: the arguably most popular cat on the internet, Grumpy aka Tardar Sauce, has landed a movie deal. Catsparella reports that Tardar Sauce’s human reps (she has more than one, obviously) have teamed up with producers Todd Garner and Sean Robins, to develop what is being described as a “Garfield-like” live action feature film, starring a living, breathing, and talking Grumpy Cat. If you missed any of the stories featured on The Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: On Monday, which was the Memorial Day holiday in the US, we remembered lost loved ones, on Tuesday, we told you about the biggest adoption event ever, sponsored by Maddie’s Fund, on Wednesday, Allegra and Ruby talked about what good little household helpers they are, and on Friday we reviewed Clea Simon’s new book, Grey Dawn. And if you have an iPad or iPhone, don’t forget to enter our giveaway to create a keepsake with a fun new app, Oh, Kitty!

And speaking of cute cat videos: here’s an adorable video of Odilia, the blind kitten we introduced you to last week. Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

Mommy’s squeeing over Odilia’s video. We were sure relieved to see that her suitcase didn’t have a tiny grey tabby girl in it when she returned – whew!

And Tard’s got a movie deal? Mowzers!
