There are probably hundreds of sites on the internet that allow you to create custom products from photographs, but I’ve rarely come across one as creative as CapThat. CapThat lets you create products ranging from phone cases to wall art. I had a chance to try out their service, and the end result was the “oil painting” shown above. I had a lot of fun creating it – the options they offer are mindboggling! – but I have to admit to being skeptical as to  what the final product would look like. At price points starting at $50 for the canvas wall print I chose, I hoped that it would look really nice.

It came out amazing. The photo doesn’t do it justice. It really looks like an oil painting. The colors are just as vivid as they were on the photo I uploaded. The painted look softened all the hard edges of a photo, turning one of my favorite photos of Allegra and Ruby into a true work of art. I couldn’t be happier with the end result.

And now you can win one of these custom creations! You can choose between a 20×16 Wood Print (valued at $95, shown above) or a Canvas Print (starting at $50, like the one I chose for my project).

  1. My 19 year old cat Spot died two months ago, after 5 years of health issues. He was my best friend, and I would love to have a memorial of him in the form of a canvas print to hang on my wall.

  2. Just seeing those cute little faces warms my heart! <3 Would love to win this and have the purrfect pic too 🙂

  3. Since Tom and I are blind it would be so very cool to have a wood print for us to enjoy but we could put it where everyone else can see it as well. These sound so amazing.

  4. My baby girl came to us starving and defenseless and dumped on the side of the highway. Over the last 9 years fate has favored her against the longest odds, but now she has Chronic Kidney Disease. I would love to have a canvas made of her so I can remember what strength and resilience is.

  5. I would love to get my daugther a picture of her kitten that passed a few years ago for her wall, she talks about her all of the time still even to this day.
