Allegra hasn’t met a scratcher she doesn’t like, so I expected her to enjoy the Kittyblock. I just wasn’t pepared for how much she loved it! As soon as it came out of the box, she was all over it. It has since become a favorite at our house for both of the girls.
The Kittyblock was designed by Paul Roberts. It is made from corrugated cardboard and a starch-based adhesive. Weighing in at 8 pounds, the blocks are nice and sturdy. They didn’t move when Allegra and Ruby scratched and jumped and played on them.
I love that it’s not just a scratcher, but also a hiding place and a kitty jungle gym. Ruby likes to stalk Allegra from inside it, while Allegra prefers the spot on top.
In this photo collage, provided by Miss Moderncat Kate Benjamin, Paul’s cats Banjo and Blossom demonstrate additional uses of the Kittyblock. The blocks can be stacked for more climbing fun, but Paul doesn’t recommend stacking them more than two blocks high.
In the video below, you can see Allegra showcase her scratching technique on the Kittyblock while Ruby looks on and takes notes:

I’m delighted that Paul offered to give one Kittyblock to one lucky winner.

I believe they have been discontinued.
I found them on Facebook. Thank you very much. I hope they answer my question.
Gus and Rogue will scratch everything they can get their paws on! I am a fervent believer of not declawing cats because it is so cruel, so I am always on the look out for things like this. They also love to climb, so this looks perfect! Unfortunately, since I am a student I don’t have the money for luxuries like these. I hope I win!

I don’t think Monster would want to share this with his “siblings”. But he will have to if we win the giveaway. Monster loves to scratch on cardboard, bless his hypothyroid little heart 😉
My lil cats a scratcher and very playful too So Im sure she might like something like this
My kitties would love this! They like to climb on things and scratch on things! This would be the best of both worlds.
I’m always looking for ways to entertain my kitties indoors. So far, they think all the excitement is outdoors. Kittyblock looks like it would keep them busy and happy indoors and safe!

Hopefully it’s not too late to enter! Still the 23rd in my time zone. I’d like to win because my kitties are looking for some new scratching toys.
With 5 cats of my own and 2 foster kittens, I’m always looking for new ways to keep them all occupied. This would be a great addition!
The cats at the animal shelter I volunteer at would love it!
Wow! The foster cats and kittens would love this! Not to mention my fur kids… Great idea for a great looking cat scratcher.
All three of my cats are serious scratchers and would love the dual purpose of this cool item!
I would LOVE to win this for my four lovable gatos. I have a tortie, too, her name is Dilly and she is 16 years old and hanging in there! They love this kind of thing!
