It’s the season of miracles, and a little kitten in England certainly experienced one when he survived a 4-mile journey inside the wheel of a car. The News Star reports that the couple who owns the car thought they could hear a meowing sound during the trip. Baffled, they stopped the car and began a hunt for the phantom feline. They couldn’t find anything. They carefully drove to a repair shop, where a mechanic lifted the wheel arch and gently grasped the kitten from its hiding place.
“When the kitten finally emerged it did look very sorry for itself. I wasn’t sure it would survive. It must have used up many of its nine lives,” said Mr Squires, the owner of the car. The kitten was subsequently named Indiana, and is up for adoption. Read the full story in the News Star.
The iPad will surely be one of the most coveted presents this holiday season – and not just for humans. With plenty of apps designed especially for cats, the iPad might just become the hottest new cat toy. I’m not sure how well the iPad screen holds up to kitty claws, but it sure looks like the cats are having fun in a series of videos featured on the Huffington Post.
In a lovely post on Catster, Dorian Wagner shared her list of 13 Little Things I Do Because I Have Cats. You’ll be sure to find yourself somewhere (or everywhere!) on the list. My favorite is “I leave empty boxes lying around the house for months, because the cats like them.”
Today’s video shows Oskar, a kitten who was born without formed eyeballs. It shows Oskar playing with his first toys. The toys have bells inside. The video is quite inspirational. What a huge spirit in such a small package!
Have a great weekend!
