Allegra and Ruby were very excited when the mailman brought a package addressed to them the other day. They’ve learned by now that that means that there’s a new product for them to test!
The package came from Tipsy Nip™ Organic Catnip Products, the creators of the original Tickle Pickle™. According to cat behaviorist Jackson Galaxy “your cat needs ritualized play—to hunt, catch, kill, and eat every day. That’s what they are built to do.” The folks at Tipsy Nip share that view, and they provide the perfect toys to fulfill that ritual.
All Tipsy Nip™ products are made from only the best quality materials and ingredients. Their mission is to create products that make cats insanely happy. They are committed to safe quality toys and treats. Everything that goes into the toys is made, grown, or manufactured in the USA. Their catnip is certified organic cut and sifted leaf and flower, and has been referred to as some of the best catnip available in the USA.
We received two Tickle Pickles™, a jar of loose catnip, and a Tipsy Nip™ ball, which is infused with and nesting in organic catnip.
A side note: An estimated 50% of cats don’t respond to catnip. Whether or not cats respond to catnip appears to be genetically determined. Kittens are not affected until they’re about two months old (if they fall into the category of cats that do respond). Chances are that if your kitten hasn’t reacted to catnip by the time she’s six month’s old, she falls into the non-responsive category. Allegra falls into that category, so it was up to Ruby to review these products. Unfortunately, she is too strung out on catnip to write the review, so you’ll have to take my word for it that all the products were a big hit with her.
This is potent catnip! I could smell it before I even opened the box, even though the products were sealed in plastic jars and bags. As soon as I got the pickle out of the bag, Ruby went for it. You can see that she had a good time with it in the video below. According to Tipsy Nip, the pickle is made out of a durable tight cotton knit, so it should hold up well even to Ruby’s vigorous kicking!
The catnip ball is extremely potent, too, and Ruby had a blast with it. She was so fast dribbling and chasing it through the house, I couldn’t get good video of it. Allegra enjoyed the wooden ball, but I think for her, it was the motion, and not the catnip, that provided the fun.
Ruby is sleeping off her catnip high, but she wanted me to tell you that she gives these products a very enthusiastic four paws up. Her comment: “Far out, Mom!”

Great review Ingrid! I love my Tickle Pickle! And my mom was wondering if you humans can get a contact high from smelling the catnip? This is superior strength catnip for sure.
I don’t know about a contact high, Gracey, but that sure is some serious catnip in that Tickle Pickle!
Pandora, Skye, Sweetie, Cain, Cole, Lily, and Obi Wan need a Tickle Pickle to keep them out of trouble! They need some ‘mellow’ time. 😉
My mother and I have three boys: Hank, Dean, and Smokey. Smokey came to her from an estate and had been shy and elusive for some time. Hank and Dean came from a shelter across the country where I’d been living, and they’re far younger. Dean is almost hyperactive at times, but Hank is a big, sweet, lazy boy. The only thing that really gets Hank going is a good toy… and we discovered while playing that Smokey has quite an affinity for catnip as well! Hank’s favorite toy is in the shape of a corn-on-the-cob, but it’s past its prime. Dean will play with almost anything, and Smokey likes string toys, but catnip gets him involved with any type of playtime. Having a replacement for the corn (in the form of a pickle!) and some nice organic ‘nip would be wonderful for our motley crew. 🙂
We would love to win. Our kitties can’t resist giving a nip toy lots of hugs and kicks!
because my 4 kittys deserve the best. They luv to eat,rub and get super kitty high and relax after indulging in kitty nip. But please do not deserve when they are in kitty space afterwards. So yes yes we would luv to win some nip.
My 3 kitties need more exercise! They are all overweight, and catnip always gives them a boost of energy and keeps them active, so that would be such a big help for them to have this innovative product 🙂 Plus… they are addicted to catnip ;-D
That video sure does show that the Tickle Pickle is excellent for bunny kicking!!
Will share on Facebook >^..^<
I have three nip heads here that would love to get their paws on it!
Our Purrcy who needs to lose some weight would love to have a Tickle Pickle to chase around the house. Purrcy will share the Pickle with Susie and Fluffy who are both seniors but still love a good cat nip high 🙂
My boys would love to have this. I can just see them playing with it all day. Maybe it will keep Sebastian off of me while I’m trying to work. 😉
I would love to win a Tickle Pickle for Zanzibar der Wunderbar Foster Kitty – he absolutely adores catnip, and since he’s in isolation and alone for most of the day, I try to give him toys that he can enjoy when I’m not with him. I don’t know how many bottles of Kong Catnip Spray I’ve gone through! I know he’d love a Tickle Pickle! 🙂
Hehehehehe! Enjoy the nip gifts!!!
I am a senior tuxie girl and the only thing that would make me act like a tickle is that pickle!

My cats are all “Nip Heads”!!! They love capturing “prey” like the Tickle Pickle because it’s big enough to attack with all four paws!
My Tortie LOVES attacking catnip toys, I know she would love the Tickle Pickle.

is that the right link? it looks kind of long and sketchy. hmmmmm.
My two kitties love catnip! My male is recouping from a struvite crystal vet visit; he needs to be cheered up with a new toy!
I’d like a Tickle Pickle for the old man of the house, He’s a great cat who just wants those kittens to leave him alone in the sun. I think sunbeam + Tickle Pickle and the kittens closed away for an hour would be heaven for him.

One look at that fuzzy pickle and we can smell the high from here! We prefer nip toys in this kind of oblong shape which mimics a small rodent or bird.
All 5 of my kitties love the ‘nip! They would love to take turns rolling around with the pickle!
My girls *love* catnip! Phoebe goes especially bonkers with it. 🙂

Because my two cats LOVE organic catnip! It’s like watching volleyball olympics when they’re playing with a new catnip toy.
Ruby you have those bunny kicks down pat! You are a girl after my own heart! I would love to win the pickle so I can practice my bunny kicks like you!
My cats would love a Tickle Pickle! Thanks for the giveaway.
My two would love that!

Oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh!! Why? Because my 4 wonderful cats read about this toy (well, I read about it) and we are all swooning at the prospect of having our very own. Thank you for the chance to win!!! Off to share.
Sam just can’t have “too many” toys! He loves to play and something tells me that while he’s always been somewhat “lukewarm” when it comes to catnip – this stuff is strong enough to keep his attention!!
Pam, Mom of Sam
I have some very bored kids who would love to give the Pickle a whirl!!
I foster cats/kittens and am always looking for toys to keep them occupied, especially during the quarantine period. I also have 2 of my own that don’t always get a whole lot of attention especially if I have sick fosters. I have a limited budget and that means limited budget on kitty toys/treats too but I always try to give the kitties I foster as many interesting toys as I can.
Because my kitties deserve to be stoned
