Mews and Nips: A Wedding With Lots of Tortitude

There have been plenty of reports of dogs being part of wedding celebrations, but cats usually aren’t all that thrilled with these sorts of festivities. This apparently was not the case for Coco, a beautiful dilute tortie, who bride Danielle Hunger described as “”viciously beautiful and beloved” (tortitude, anyone?) in the Huffington Post. After the ceremony, which took place in the couple’s home, photographer Luciana Justice noticed the beautiful cat, and asked whether Coco could be in some of the formal photos. I realize that the story is two years old, but it’s too good not to share. For more photos of Coco the wedding tortie, visit Luciana Justice’s blog.

If you missed any of the stories featured on The Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on  Monday, Allegra and Ruby helped me celebrate my birthday, on Tuesday, we reviewed organic toys from PurrfectPlay, on Wednesday, we introduced you to Pangur Ban the Fluffy, and on Friday, we told you about a beautiful new gift edition of James Herriot’s Cat Stories. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway for a glass pet bowl from PawNosh!

Today’s video provides a major “awww” moment – enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

I would have loved to have had my cats in my wedding. We did have a cat cake topper on the wedding cake.
