Mews and Nips: Cats and Spring Shoes

I’m not really into fashion, but the recent editorial in Vogue magazine titled “The Cat and the Flat: Spring Shoes and Kittens Make the Perfect Pair” caught my eye. Clearly, Vogue has caught on that anything looks better with a cat, even designer flats. Of course I’m not sure this was the smartest marketing decision in this case, since the cats definitely take the eye away from the admittedly gorgeous shoes. The photos in this whimsical feature are absolutely stunning. Click here for the slideshow.

If If you missed any of the stories featured on The Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in tortie style, on Tuesday, we introduced you to the new Jackson Galaxy toy collection, on Wednesday, we explained why vomiting in cats is never normal, and on Friday, we reviewed a ridiculously cute book titled Bunnies and Kitties. And don’t forget to enter our cat mystery audiobook giveaway!

Today’s video, a commercial for what appears to be chewing gum, made me laugh out loud. I wonder what’s in that gum. Could it be catnip?

Have a great weekend!

A very clever and well done campaign! Clearly you know which pair of flats is my favorite!

I almost used the photo of “your” shoes for this post – just for you, Deb. ;-)
