Mews and Nips: Cat makes runway debut at New York Fashion Week

A rescue cat named Lily was the first cat to ever walk on the runway at New York’s famed Fashion Week. The 4-year-old rescue cat showed off her stylish Siamese coat on February 10 during the Tracey Reese fashion show at Lincoln Center. I don’t follow fashion, so I don’t get all that excited about Fashion Week, but any time a cat, especially a rescue cat, becomes part of a mainstream event, it makes me happy. Our second story touched my heart. When Sprite was just a little kitten, a rescue group gave up on him because he was blind. Earlier this week, he played in two feet of snow, and, if the photo above is anything to go by, had a blast. Reddit user raella gave Sprite another chance at life. Today, Sprite continues to amaze his family. He’s bonded with the dogs and another cat in the household, and follows his humans and the cat around. Today’s video is one of the entries at the Catdance Film Festival (yes, there is such a thing!). Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!
