RC Pet Products Carlos cat collar leash harness

We have a great giveaway for the stylish cat today! RC Pet Products has generously offered to give away one kitty package to one lucky Conscious Cat reader. The package consists of a breakaway collar, harness and leash. And the best part is that you can choose from 12 different designs, so you’ll be sure to find something that will suit your cat purrfectly.

That’s Carlos in the photo above, modeling the “Under the Sea” design – doesn’t he look handsome?

Allegra and Ruby don’t wear collars and they don’t walk on a leash, either, but if they did, they told me they would both choose the “Cat Sounds Pink” design above. Clearly, my taste in colors has influenced theirs. To view the different design choices, click here.

It would be great for my cat to be able to go outside and enjoy the fresh air. I think my little black kitty would look quite fetching in the red pirate harness.

We are the Shawnee Om Shanti Cat Sanctuary (or SOS Cats for short). This sanctuary slowly grew from feeding the local feral cats when we used to live in a remote area of South-central PA. It later became a tribute to my daughter and only child, Shawnee, who died unexpectedly almost 10 years ago. We are a private sanctuary so all is paid for out-of-pocket.

While living in our little house in the big woods, we managed to trap, neuter and vaccinate over 70 cats. However, last summer, the property owner decided he wanted to develop the property we lived on and no longer wanted cats there, even though we offered to buy the property. With much difficulty, we pulled money from our retirement funds and took out a mortgage to buy a property where the zoning allowed us to keep the cats. We then had a “Cat House” built along with a fenced-in play yard as there are now neighbors and a busy road nearby. You can see the progress of the sanctuary in a FB album located at: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1637254265070.70679.1648160552&l=a10cc028ce&type=1
And we are not done yet! We are putting in electric and insulating the Cat House this fall!

At the time of moving we had over 40 cats and we managed to trap all but seven of them. We kept going back to the old place every day trying to catch those last seven. You can only image my horror when I went back a week after moving and discovered that the property owner had poisoned the remaining cats! One cat wasn’t even ours but a neighbor’s barn cat who recently had kittens. My husband went back the next day and thank Bast, he found them still alive and they are all growing and healthy – full of the spit and vinegar as my grandmother used to say!

Anyway, we do have several kitties in the house who are either too old to do well in the general population or have health conditions. They would dearly love to go outside every now and then and a harness and leash would be perfect for them! I hope we win!

I’ve been looking for a good collar/harness for my bestest bud for a while. We’ve tried a few different ones from the pet store, as well as the “as seen on tv” model, and still havnt found one that fits right. We would love to try the RC brand out to see if it will do the job.

I would love to win a new collar and leash for my cat Bacon. We just moved from a studio apartment into a small house and for the first time I have a yard we can go out to play in. I think he would look very handsome in the Preppy or Love Birds collar.

I have 5 cats, 3 boys and 2 girls, Spunky and Happy are my cats that LOVE the outdoors, spunky will stay in the yard but the only way Happy can go outside is with a harness and leash because she hops fences, goes under the fence and everything, She would LOVE to win the Cat Sounds Pink and would look purr-fect in it! Thanks for the chance!

One of my cats, Romeo, is more adventurous than the others. I think he would like it if he got to go outside for a while. So I hope I win the harness and leash in Maltese Cross. Thank you for this wonderful contest.

    Hi Ingrid,
Being in an urban area, we want indoor Joel and Phil to be able to get some fresh air in our backyard. We are having a slow time convincing them to warm up to wearing leashes, but I won’t give up…only problem is Joel’s leash is too big for him (whoops), so we could really use replacement. I think Joel would like the Me Love Mice design. Thank you for the giveaway fun!

I would like to let Yoshi out with me when I’m outside. We live next to a 2 lane highway and I’m not about to let him out to wander around. I’m sure he would love to be with me while I sit on the porch and study so please enter me for a chance to win this.

I’d love to win the Pirate Cat and would use this to allow my felines to go outside to enjoy the fresh air w/o having to worry about them disappearing since I’d be at the other end of the leash!

Furlong, rescued off Rt 145 Thanksgiving Day 2010 just can’t understand why his new doggie sisters get to hang outside all the time, and he is forced to watch from the window. Well, the few times he got out, his wandering ways left me worried to death. Living in the mountains, yet aside a vacation resort, I feared all sorts of things when he didn’t come back for nearly 3 days one time. Did he get hit by a car, fell in an old well, taken home by someone who thought he was sweet and homeless? Did his none breakaway collar get stuck, and will he starve?

So now, “freedom” is out. We have instead sat side by side with Furlong being tied to a thin rope, to his collar while I garden etc. I don’t like that the rope ties to his collar, as he forgets he’s tied when he sees a bug to chase, he deserves a harness. Having lost my job, budget keeps me from doing more for him then vet visits, and good food, some homemade toys, and garden catnip. He hates being alone. He stays in whatever room I am in. When the pups are outside, with me…it’s the worse. He does not mind as much if they are inside. A harness, a safe collar, would make such a difference in his daily life! He is very smart, and I can imagine him walking with us, as he adjusted to the rope in just an hour or so, I do believe one day he take long walks with us too on a real leash and harness, the RC Pet Products company is very kind to give us all the chance to win. Thank you!

Looking at him meowing from the trailer window, while Bella, Luna and I are out most days breaks my heart.
