Sadly, I think Katrina and the awful price so many people and animals paid then for not being prepared has made all of us more aware of the need for disaster preparedness, no matter what the disaster may be. Marg, it sounds like you have being prepared down to a science. How sad that you had to loose that pony. It is so important to be prepared not for just yourself but all your animals. I have run from 3 hurricanes and only lost one pony and that was because the trip was so long because the traffic was so bad and she was very old. It took us 24 hours to drive a four hour trip. But you just have to be ready and every spring I would make plans for everyone. Great suggestions. Thanks. That is such good information for any disaster. Afterward people were displaced and most pets were never reunited.
