Thanks to all who shared their wonderful adoption stories - please be sure to read all of them, they’re truly moving and a testament to the bond between cats and the people who care enough to give them a loving home. It turned out to be impossible to pick a winner by judging the stories, they’re all touching and wonderful, so I used a random number generator to pick the winning entry. Congratulations, Cindy!
A big congratulations to Cindy. That was a wonderful adoption story. Anyone who rescues a kitty or doggie from a shelter is a very special person. So many animals need homes.

Thank you Marg and a big thanks and shout out to Ingrid for running a great contest in support of Adopt a Shelter Cat month. ALL of the stories were special because they were so personal, and everyone who adopts a shelter pet — cat or dog — will be blessed with a truly wonderful family member.
