Oh PS -- don't laugh - I raised goldfish at one time as pets-- I had 7 tanks and kept those tanks clean. I also brought home abused fish, and some feeder fish too -- one beloved (Miss Moostache) fish became crippled when (after she matured from a baby) her ovaries (my conjecture) grew into her swim bladder and I made sure she had a good life even though she could not swim any more -- they all had a good quality of life. I even used holistic methods on them (as well as allopathic). So it's not just cats and dogs and other furries who need some understanding and special TLC when they become/are disabled.
